This is embargoed footage! HD FLAME FOOTAGE FROM TONIGHTS SECOND ALARM FIRE IN PHOENIX. CLOSE UPS. On Sunday 10/7/2012 at approximately 2am MST, fire fighters with the Phoenix Fire Department were called to a report of fire coming from a top floor apartment at 4227 N. 27th Ave in Phoenix city limits. Upon arrival, first responders observed heavy flames and smoke coming from on the building and immediately called for a second alarm assignment. Fire fighters were able to contain the fire in about 20 minutes. At least 2 units are a complete loss with at least 4 more sustaining severe damage. There were no injuries to firefighters, and it is unknown if there are any injuries to civilians and/or occupants. The apartments are comprised of 14 3 story buildings with an estimated 300 apartments. In all, nearly 100 firefighters were called to help with the incident, 14 engine companies, and 10 police officers. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
